Stimulus
Presentation
Heijo Research Electronics controllers and stimulators for tactile, visual and
auditory multi-sensory stimulus presentation. Whether you'd simply like to present a few simple taps or have
designed for more complex trail-by-trial variable intensity stimuli. Heijo's controllers and stimulators make sure
the stimuli are received by your participant like you designed them to be received with most accurate timing. Heijo
Research Electronics stimulus presentation equipment is among the most advanced on the market.
All controllers are controlled via the parallel port on the stimulus presentation computer and the
controllers are compatible with as good as all stimulus presentation software packages on the market.
All prices exclude VAT.

Tactile controller with
trial-by-trial intensity control
This is the most advanced tactile
controller. It allows for intensity manipulation on a trial-by-trial basis. The controller has
sixty intensity levels for access during the experiment.
An internal heat buffer lengthens the possible stimulus duration which is
especially useful when presenting vibration stimuli.
Temperature sensing circuitry prevents overheating of the tapper and
controller circuit.
The controller has safeguards to protect circuitry and computer from
back EMF generated by solenoid tappers.
£478.- per channel. order

Tactile controller with intensity
control
This controller allows for offline intensity control. Intensity
can be set by means of a control knob.
An internal heat buffer lengthens the possible stimulus duration which is especially useful when
presenting vibration stimuli.
Temperature sensing circuitry prevents overheating of the tapper.
The controller has safeguards to protect circuitry and computer from
back EMF generated by solenoid tappers.
£308.-per channel. order code

Basic tactile
controller
This is a controller with fixed-intensity
output.
An internal heat buffer lengthens the possible stimulus duration which is especially useful when
presenting vibration stimuli.
Temperature sensing circuitry prevents overheating of the tapper and circuit.
The controller has safeguards to protect circuitry and computer from
back EMF generated by solenoid tappers.
£244.- per channel. Order code TACT-CONTR-B*

Solenoid
Tapper
Tactile stimulator for use with one of the tactile controllers. Taps are generated by means
of a solenoid and a miniature rod. Embedded is a temperature sensor to prevent overheating.
The tapper is approximately 12mm in diameter and 13mm in length, including its casing. Most
researchers use medical tape to attach the tapper to for example the participant's
finger.
£196.- per tapper.

Visual
controller with luminosity control
This controller for visual stimuli has the ability to present visual stimuli in
three colours and ten luminosity levels on a trial-by-trial basis. It can be used with the LED
clusters.
£241.- per channel. order code VIS-CNTR-LUM*
|
|
Basic Visual
Controller
This controller for visual stimulus presentation has a fixed output and can be used with the LED
clusters.
£115.- per channel.
order code VIS-BASIC*

 |
 |
LED cluster
This cluster module has nine tricolour LEDs and can illuminate red, green and
amber when used with one of the visual controllers
£78.- per module. order code VIS-LED-CLSTR9

AUDITORY
|
Basic Auditory
Controller
The auditory controller acts as an accurately timed sound gate. Sounds from your stimulus
presentation computer are precisely timed and cut for the exact duration to one of eight
channels.
£168,- per four
channels. order code AUD-BASIC*

Small enclosed
speaker
High quality speaker for use with the auditory controller.
£86.- per speaker. order code AUD-SPKR
